Cypress, CA (August 31, 2021) – ECOS®, a pioneer in safer cleaning products, announced today that it has been awarded WELL Certification at the Platinum level for its Illinois facility by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). WELL is the premier building standard to focus on enhancing people’s health and well-being through the buildings where we live, work and play.
ECOS is the first manufacturer and the first company of any kind in the Industrial sector to receive the prestigious Platinum-level award. A leader in the eco-conscious cleaning market, ECOS manufactures over 90 sustainably made laundry detergents and household and commercial cleaning products.
Created through collaboration with leading physicians, scientists, and industry professionals, the WELL Building Standard is a performance-based certification system that marries best practices in design and construction with evidence-based scientific research. ECOS earned the Platinum-level rating based on seven categories of building performance — Air, Water, Light, Nourishment, Fitness, Comfort and Mind.

Some of the features that helped ECOS achieve its WELL Certified Platinum rating include meditation, lactation, and exercise rooms; organic fruit for healthy snacking; enhanced ventilation and air filtration; low-VOC paints, flooring, and other materials; water quality testing and filtered water stations every 100 feet; natural light from windows and glass walls; temperature regulation for year-round comfort; and ergonomic and comfortable workstations.
